Dan Kent is Salmon-Safe's executive director. Dan led the development of Salmon-Safe at Pacific Rivers Council from 1995 to 2001 and also served as that organization's communications director for five years. A native of the Pacific Northwest, Dan was raised on a small farm in the Palouse Hills of eastern Washington state. Dan has an undergraduate degree in management and economics as well as a graduate degree in business (MBA) and corporate product management and marketing experience with one of the nation's largest financial institutions. Dan also serves on the board of directors of the Wild Farm Alliance, a California-based organization working to integrate sustainable agriculture and the conservation of native biodiversity, and Cork ReHarvest, a startup organization focused on protecting and sustaining the high biodiversity cork forests of the Mediterranean region while working with the wine industry to build North American markets for recycled natural cork.

Lee Jimerson, President
As CollinsWood product manager for The Collins Companies, Jimerson has more than two decades of experience in the domestic and international forest products industry, promoting sustainable forest management and developing the market for products certified by Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
Terry Campbell
Terry Campbell of Forest Products Solutions has been educating design and construction professionals about the use of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood products for over seven years. He wrote Designing & Building with FSC to communicate the important message of FSC certification to the design and building professionals and offer strategies to ensure success. Forest Products Solutions is focused on connecting society to restorative forest practices through FSC-certified products.
Jeff Cram
Jeff Cram co-founded ISITE Design in 1997 and heads up ISITE Design Boston as its Managing Director. Cram has played an integral role in establishing the agency as a national leader in Web strategy, design and technology services. Cram has consulted for companies including Siemens, Xerox, Nike, Nintendo and WebTrends. He is a frequent speaker at national conferences on topics including Web analytics, search engine marketing and Web usability.
Chris Dearth
Chris is the sustainability planning manager for the City of Portland Planning Bureau. Prior to the city of Portland, Chris served in the administration of Oregon governor John Kitzhaber as legislative director and environmental project director. In former lives, Chris has worked for a national public finance firm, in economic development on both coasts, and managed a multi-sector development project in the North Kordofan Province of Sudan.
Matt Emlen
Matt Emlen is an account executive with the local government solutions team of Johnson Controls. He helps local governments undertake a broad range of sustainability initiatives incuding energy efficiency and renewable energy projects and sustainability planning and education. Matt was previously a program coordinator with the Portland Office of Sustainable Development where his responsibilities included serving as lead staff to the Portland-Multnomah Sustainable Development Commission and Food Policy Council. His professional background also includes design and analysis of marketing research and volunteer management.
Regina Hauser
Regina Hauser is the Executive Director of the Oregon Natural Step Network. Prior to her assuming this position she practiced law and was a shareholder with Schwabe Williamson Wyatt, where she spent 16-years specializing in intellectual property and employment law. She has served as a member of numerous community Boards, including Mental Health Partners, Legal Aid Services of Oregon, Oregon Law Center, and Portland Opera.
Lynn Palensky, Secretary
Currently with the NW Power and Conservation Council, Lynn has fourteen years of experience working in collaborative, multi-agency fish and wildlife programs; includes administration of grant programs for habitat mitigation, conservation easements, and land and water rights acquisitions. She led a four-state effort to develop 62 subbasin plans under the 2000 Columbia River Basin Fish and Wildlife Program. Lynn was the founder and race director for an 8k run in Washington to benefit the Puget Soundkeeper Alliance for five years. Lynn is also a Board member of Water Watch of Oregon.
Peter Paquet, Ph.D., President Emeritus
Peter Paquet is faculty member at Portland State University where he serves as a member of the Watershed Management Professional Program Advisory Board and teaches courses in that program. Dr. Paquet is also senior biologist and wildlife director of the Northwest Power and Conservation Council, where he is responsible for programs to mitigate for fish and wildlife damage caused by construction of the federal hydropower system.
Rich Shawen, Treasurer
Rich Shawen is Director of Finance for Xplane Corporation in Portland, Oregon which specializes in visual communication and consulting. Prior to this position, he was Chief Financial Officer & Vice President of Finance for Widmer Brothers Brewing Company in Portland. Green initiatives have been a part of his internal and external company objectives. Also, he has always had an interest in the environmental sciences through volunteer activities and previous educational endeavors.
Amy Winkelman, Vice President
Amy Winkelman is Director of Strategic Innovation at Providence Health & Services Oregon. Prior to this position, Amy worked in the technology industry in product management and marketing, as well as an independent consultant providing a variety of business services to hi-tech and manufacturing clients. Amy has been volunteering in the Portland-area nonprofit environmental community since 1994, serving as chair of the Tualatin Riverkeepers public outreach committee, chair of the marketing and technology committees for Earth Share of Oregon and also vice president of the Earth Share of Oregon board.
