Dan Kent, MBA, is Salmon-Safe's
managing director. Dan led the development of Salmon-Safe at Pacific Rivers
Council from 1995 to 2001 and also served as that organization's communications
director for five years. A native of the Pacific Northwest, Dan was raised on a
small farm in the Palouse Hills of eastern Washington state. Dan has
undergraduate and graduate degrees in business and marketing, as well as
corporate marketing experience in the banking industry in California. Dan also
serves on the board of directors of the Wild Farm Alliance, a
California-based organization working to integrate sustainable agriculture and the conservation of native biodiversity.
Board
Peter Paquet, Ph.D., President Peter Paquet is faculty member at Portland State University where he serves as a member of the Watershed Management Professional Program Advisory Board and teaches courses in that program. Dr. Paquet is also senior biologist and wildlife director of the Northwest Power and Conservation Council, where he is responsible for programs to mitigate for fish and wildlife damage caused by construction of the federal hydropower system.
Lee Jimerson, Vice President As CollinsWood product manager for The Collins Companies, Jimerson has 24 years of experience in the domestic and international
forest products industry, promoting sustainable forest management and wise
utilization of forest resources.
Terry Campbell
Terry Campbell of Forest Products Solutions has been educating design and construction professionals about the use of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood products for over seven years. He wrote Designing & Building with FSC to communicate the important message of FSC certification to the design and building professionals and offer strategies to ensure success. Forest Products Solutions is focused on connecting society to restorative forest practices through FSC-certified products.
Jeff Cram Jeff Cram co-founded ISITE Design in 1997 and heads up ISITE Design Boston as its Managing Director. Cram has played an integral role in establishing the agency as a national leader in Web strategy, design and technology services. Cram has consulted for companies including Siemens, Xerox, Nike, Nintendo and WebTrends. He is a frequent speaker at national conferences on topics including Web analytics, search engine marketing and Web usability.
Chris Dearth
Chris is the sustainability planning manager for the City of Portland Planning Bureau. Prior to the city of Portland, Chris served in the administration of Oregon governor John Kitzhaber as legislative director and environmental project director. In former lives, Chris has worked for a national public finance firm, in economic development on both coasts, and managed a multi-sector development project in the North Kordofan Province of Sudan.
Diane Dulken Diane Dulken has extensive experience nationally and
locally in communications, specializing in environmental and civic projects. In
Washington D.C., she worked for The Wilderness Society and the Natural Resources
Defense Council. In Portland, she has consulted for various conservation
organizations and was the first communications director for Ecotrust's high
profile Natural Capital Center project. She also is a former Oregonian reporter.
Matt Emlen Matt Emlen is an account executive with the local government solutions team
of Johnson Controls. He helps local governments undertake a broad
range of sustainability initiatives incuding energy efficiency and
renewable energy projects and sustainability planning and education.
Matt was previously a program coordinator with the Portland Office of
Sustainable Development where his responsibilities included serving as
lead staff to the Portland-Multnomah Sustainable Development
Commission and Food Policy Council. His professional background also
includes design and analysis of marketing research and volunteer
management.
Regina Hauser
Regina Hauser is the Executive Director of the Oregon Natural Step Network. Prior to her assuming this position she practiced law and was a shareholder with Schwabe Williamson Wyatt, where she spent 16-years specializing in intellectual property and employment law. She has served as a member of numerous community Boards, including Mental Health Partners, Legal Aid Services of Oregon, Oregon Law Center, and Portland Opera.
Lynn Palensky Lynn Palensky is Subbasin Planning Coordinator with
the Northwest Power and Conservation Council. Lynn leads the regional effort to develop
62 subbasin plans under the 2000 Columbia River Basin Fish and Wildlife Program.
Paul Whitney, Ph.D.
Paul Whitney, Ph.D. has been an environmental consultant in Portland for
over 30 years. He participated in upper management as President and
Chairman of the Board and is currently working his way down the
corporate ladder. As a Senior Ecologist, he works on technical issues
such as Habitat Conservation Plans, Ecological Risk Assessments, and
Cumulative Impact Assessments for government and industry. Volunteer
efforts include nine years on the board of the Tualatin River Keepers,
METRO Goal 5 TAC, DEQ Ecological Risk Assessment TAC, and a variety of
other duties in the PNW.
Amy Winkelman
Amy Winkelman is an organizational development and communications
consultant based in Portland, Oregon. She has worked most of her
career in the technology industry in a variety of marketing roles, as
well as serving as a human resources manager. Amy has been
volunteering in the Portland-area nonprofit environmental community
for 10 years, serving as chair of the Tualatin Riverkeepers public
outreach committee, chair of the marketing and technology committees
for Earth Share of Oregon and also vice president of the Earth Share
of Oregon board.
